I absolutely agree it allows higher boost and power on lower octane fuel. I just do not like the risks. No matter how many fail safes are added, SH*t happens. You can not compress water and what that does to engine parts when something goes wrong is never pretty. I totally understand why people use it and when it works correctly it is a cheaper way to make power. I had a Z come in on tow truck that had WI with all the fail-safes, The engine was hydro-locked. The owner went through a car wash and when he left the engine just died going down the street..... What happened was water shorted the pump relay and continuously ran the pump. I have seen and heard too much to trust it. I still prefer octane personally.
